By Imed Sdiri

Birth and Early Life

Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was born in the city of Mecca in the year 570. ‎His father, Abdullah, died before he was born, and his mother, Amina, died when he was ‎still a child. He was raised first by his grandfather and then by his uncle, Abu Talib.

Known for Honesty and Kindness

Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was known for being honest and kind. People in ‎Mecca called him “Al-Ameen,” which means “the trustworthy one.” He worked as a ‎merchant and was respected by everyone. When he was 25 years old, he married a kind ‎and rich woman named Khadijah. She supported him in everything he did.

Receiving Messages from Allah

When Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was 40 years old, he started to receive ‎messages from Allah through the Angel Jibreel. These messages came over many years and ‎are now in the holy book of Islam, the Qur’an. Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) ‎became the last prophet of Islam. He taught people to believe in one God, to be honest, to ‎help others, and to be kind.

Moving to Medina

At first, many people in Mecca did not believe him. They made life very hard for him and his ‎followers. But he stayed patient and continued to teach the message of Islam. After many ‎years, he and his followers moved to a city called Medina. There, people accepted his ‎message, and Islam grew stronger.

Leader and Peacemaker

In Medina, Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) became a teacher, a leader, and a ‎peacemaker. He taught people to live together and made peace between different groups. ‎Later, he returned to Mecca without fighting and forgave those who had been unkind to ‎him.

Legacy

Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) died at the age of 63, but all Muslims still follow ‎him today. All over the world, they remember him as a kind, patient, and wise man. He ‎taught people to be good to each other, to care for the poor, and to always speak the truth.
