Ala Ud-Deen and the Magic Lamp

A long time ago, in a faraway city, there lived a poor boy named Ala Ud-Deen. He lived with his mother in a small house. They had very little money, but Ala Ud-Deen was kind and full of dreams.

One day, a stranger came to the city. He said he was Ala Ud-Deen’s uncle, but he was really a magician. He told Ala Ud-Deen about a hidden treasure under the ground.

“Come with me,” said the magician. “I will make you rich.”

They went to the mountains. There, the magician opened a hole in the ground. “Go inside,” he said, “and bring me the old lamp you find there.”

Ala Ud-Deen climbed down and saw a dark cave full of gold, jewels, and a strange old lamp. He picked up the lamp and shouted, “I found it!” But the magician wanted the lamp before helping him out. Ala Ud-Deen didn’t trust him and refused.

The magician became angry and closed the cave. Ala Ud-Deen was trapped!

He sat down, scared and alone. He looked at the lamp and wiped the dust from it. Suddenly, a big genie came out in smoke and fire.

“What do you want, master?” the genie asked.

“Please take me home,” Ala Ud-Deen said.

In a moment, he was back with his mother. From that day on, the genie helped them. They had food, clothes, and even a beautiful house.

Years later, Ala Ud-Deen became rich and married a princess. But he never forgot the lesson: be kind, be brave, and trust your heart.
